And what, exactly is it?

For a start, the name is a revival of an older, Slashdot-style weblog I ran for a short while focusing on fantasy and science fiction.

While that’s still the site’s focus, it will be more particularly focused, at least for the moment, on my own sometimes-informed opinions about the subject. This will largely take the form of reviews, but there will be other opinionated comment as well.

Unlike some sites that are more news-oriented, like my personal favorite, IO9, there will rarely be a post here that doesn’t include my own ideas and opinions. If you want just the facts, ma’am, then IO9 is probably a better place for you to go. This is an opinionated and opinion-oriented site.

If the concept takes off, I know a bunch of other opinionated people and may well invite the to join in the mayhem as contributors.

Meanwhile, it’s just me and my 15 megabytes of fame
