Radio Ramblings: 22 September 2024 POTA, Part 1
First part of my Parks on the Air activation from 22 September
One thing I'm (re)discovering is that video editing takes time. I'm probably going to have to rethink my recording strategy, in fact. On this particular day, I made a point of recording pretty much everything—a full FT8 activation, then a segment where I hunted around the bands for voice contacts, and then a segment where I camped out on a frequency and called CQ.
All in all, I probably have four hours of raw footage, which is a LOT to sift through. I have no illusions that most people would sit through all of that unedited, so editing is a must.
Anyway, here is the first part, which is my setup and my FT8 activation, with screen-capture of the FT8 session and running commentary.
