Things Fall Apart: 1st Anniversary

6 November 2024 marked one year since I posted the first chapter of Things Fall Apart here. I would love to have been able to give you a spectacular chapter in addition to this little commemorative post, but the truth is, this has not been a spectacular week. Aside from the election, about which the less said, the better right now, I spent much of the week visiting with family in Wisconsin for a funeral.

None of which means I haven't been thinking about the story, just that I haven't actually been writing things down this week.

I'm also starting to think about putting together a tankoban of the chapters to date. Thing is, if I did that, I would probably want to put it through some editing and maybe even some revision. That would take time that I would probably not be spending writing new chapters. I also need to think about whether such a polished omnibus should just be offered here, or if it's time to bump it up a notch and think about offering it up for sale via some platform or other.

So, lots of thinky thoughts about the storytelling, in addition to working through ideas for the story itself.

Chapter 18 will appear next week, barring mishap!
